These are busy days at PoB HQ; lots going on with releases, press, and tours. Here’s an overview of some recent news and truths from Steve Gunn, Hiss Golden Messenger, Chris Forsyth, the Red Rippers, and Chance.
Dear reader, it’s Record Store Day, and you owe it to yourself and your local record merchants to pick up a copy of the new Golden Gunn LP, a collaboration between PoB artists Hiss Golden Messenger and Steve Gunn, with spiritual guidance and musical direction from Dickie Silk. A masterpiece of dead-end addresses, smoke machines, and indoor shades, it comes care of Three Lobed Recordings, stuck in the middle of Haw and Time Off.
On Tuesday, April 2, Chaz from Bull City Records in Durham, North Carolina was kind enough to host a record release party for Hiss Golden Messenger’s Haw. Read on for some photographic and audio evidence, including a stream of an extended, live “Cheerwine Easter.”
