More Constellations.
David Lee just sent us this wonderful image, which Benjamin Guest of the Constellations gave him and his wife as a 50th anniversary present a few weeks ago. At the party, Mr. Lee and his wife danced to the heady and deeply moving Constellations ballad “If Everybody,” which will appear on the forthcoming Bachelors comp. These guys look like real pros, albeit teenage ones.
We hope to meet with and interview the Guest brothers, guitarist Don Camp, and drummer Harold Allen soon. Stay tuned for more Constellations news and notes.
Happy New Year, y’all!
An update with the complete photo line-up, from left to right: Steve Shull, w/ organ; David Norris, w/ bass guitar; Harold Allen, behind the drums; Don Camp, w/ guitar; Max Philbeck, kneeling w/ saxophone; Howard “Beezer” Duncan, kneeling w/ saxophone; Bobby Alley, w/ guitar; William “Butch” Mitchell; Sam Guest; Benjamin Guest; and Bryan “Brownie” Guest.

I remember when my older cousins were in the band.
I also remember my mother playing the record for years.
I wasn’t old enough to remember the name of the song, nor how many she owned . I do however remember her being so proud of her sisters sons. Sam, Ben,and Bryan. ( Aunt Vergies’ boys )
Listening to this sond truly made me smile.

I am the daughter of the late Samuel “Sam” Guest. I enjoyed reading the history of ” The Constellations”. I enjoyed reading the Making of the Music in Cleveland County. The pictures show us alot of American history been made.
